In addition to consulting at Melbourne Orthopaedic Group, Mark works with St Kilda FC, in the AFL, conducting player strength monitoring and analysis.
Mark graduated from University College Dublin, Ireland. He completed a graduate programme at the Sports Surgery Clinic, Dublin, working within the orthopaedic, sports medicine and performance departments. During this time, he was involved in research and co-authored a paper on Athletic Groin Pain for the British Journal of Sports Medicine (2018).
Mark then lived and worked in New Zealand for several years where he worked across manual therapy and gym-based clinics treating a wide range of injuries and pathologies. He worked in women’s rugby in Ireland and Men’s Premier 1 Rugby in New Zealand as well as NBL1 Basketball, Victorian Premier Cricket and the AFL here in Australia.
Mark has a special interest in managing knee injuries, however he continues to treat a wide variety of conditions, including injuries of the back, hip, shoulder, foot and ankle. He has a wealth of experience working with both children and adults, from elite athletes to the non-sporting individual.
