Adam Turnbull

Musculoskeletal

Physiotherapist

Adam graduated from University of Sydney in 2000 and has extensive rehabilitation and pain management experience as a physiotherapist working both in private practice and in the private hospital sector. He has led a number of rehabilitation and pain management services at hospitals across Melbourne over the last two decades and has a strong interest in chronic pain conditions of the hip, back, neck and shoulder.  Adam has worked with several leading spinal surgeons and has in depth knowledge of how to optimise spinal health and function through movement, posture and core muscle activation. This can be equally relevant pre or post spinal surgery or for conservative management of a spinal condition.

In additional Adam works regularly with hypermobility disorders such as Ehler’s Danlos syndrome along with complex hip conditions.  Hip specific consultations focus on review and optimisation of hip and gait performance with associated reduction of pain and improved motor control.  This service may be recommended specifically by your orthopaedic surgeon either as a way of delaying or avoiding surgery or to improve your functional outcomes following hip surgery.
